The Texas Rangers had a fantastic season but just fell a little bit short in their run at the postseason.
The Rangers just couldn’t quite hold it together down the stretch to hang with the Los Angeles Angels, who have won the American League West.
Texas certainly lacks the experience of the Angels, who seem to win that division almost every single year.
If nothing else, this year will serve as great experience for the Rangers in the future, and they certainly have the talent to make some noise again next year.

Texas Rangers star outfielder Josh Hamilton will now be sidelined indefinitely because of back pain.
Hamilton has been dealing with the injury for more than a week now and will be sidelined through at least the next week. He will be treated through rest and cortisone shots, which the team hopes will make a difference in the next couple of days. It’s been a rough season for Hamilton, who has struggled through several injuries while trying to match last year’s terrific performance.
The Rangers trail the Boston Red Sox by just a few games in the American League wild card race, so they cannot afford to be without their best hitter.
