Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was named the American League’s Most Valuable Player.
Hamilton won the award in a landslide, with Miguel Cabrera finishing second and Robinson Cano third.
Hamilton was the power behind the Rangers offense for much of the season, practically putting the team on his back.

For the second time in this World Series, Texas Rangers pitcher Cliff Lee came away with a disappointing loss.
This time, however, it was one pitch that did him in, and it also ended the team’s World Series hopes.
Lee gave up a three-run home run to shortstop Edgar Renteria in the seventh inning of a 3-1, Game 5 loss to the Giants.
With the win, the Giants won the series four games to one, setting off a wild celebratin at the Ballpark in Arlington. ( Read More…)

The Texas Rangers got a big game from Colby Lewis to win their first American League Championship.
Texas got on the board early, scoring a run in the first inning off of Phillip Hughes to set the tone.
They then put four runs on the board in the fourth inning to take a commanding lead and never looked back.
In fitting fashion, outfielder Josh Hamilton was named the ALCS MVP after carrying the team much of the year. ( Read More…)
